Quick start

Learn Punch, Kick and Throw.
Find a safe chance to hold an attack and charge Spirit.
Watch the rival’s gauge before taunting.
Check the bonus challenge for another improvement.

Controls

A punches, B kicks, C throws and D taunts. Holding A, B or C charges Spirit. Double-tap forward to dash or backward to retreat. Specials consume Spirit, so check the gauge before relying on them.

Art of Fighting 2 makes the Spirit gauge part of each fighter’s special attacks rather than a reserve used only for a final super. Holding an attack charges it, while a taunt threatens the rival’s supply. Ordinary Punch, Kick and Throw provide alternatives when a stronger technique is unavailable. Bonus challenges can improve the fighter or unlock a super during the arcade route. Learn an ordinary strike before charging in an exposed position, then check Spirit before repeating the special that controlled the previous exchange. Version-specific changes to characters, stages, timing, difficulty, balance, graphics or hidden content are not inferred where the registration does not document them.
