How to Play Ms. Pac-Man (Patched)
Quick start
- Plan a short dot-clearing route with an escape corridor.
- Use a tunnel when ghosts begin to close the route.
- Collect a power pellet when its temporary protection is useful.
- Clear the remaining dots while avoiding a risky detour for moving fruit.
Controls
Use the four-way joystick to guide Ms. Pac-Man through corridors and tunnels. Dots, fruit and power pellets are collected by moving over them. A power pellet temporarily allows contact with vulnerable blue ghosts instead of requiring an attack button.
Ms. Pac-Man (Patched) — About this game
Ms. Pac-Man (Patched) sends the familiar maze chase through changing layouts and moving fruit. Clear every dot while keeping four ghosts from cutting off the next turn, using side tunnels when a route becomes too crowded. Power pellets temporarily reverse the pursuit, allowing vulnerable ghosts to be eaten for increasing rewards, but their protection becomes less forgiving as play advances. A fruit bonus is valuable only if the route to it still leaves room to escape, so plan the next corridor before committing to a long chase.
The Patched set incorporates Don Hodges’s repairs for late-level kill-screen faults and additional Ms. Pac-Man bugs. His accompanying analysis also addresses the blue first-maze colour fault, a marquee display problem and another state-handling error. This is a repaired program set rather than a new maze sequel.
