How to Play Super Street Fighter II Turbo (Asia 940223 Phoenix Edition) (bootleg)

Quick start

  1. Choose one fighter and check light, medium and heavy punches and kicks.
  2. Practice standing and crouching guards separately.
  3. Build the Super gauge with normal and special moves.
  4. When it is ready, practice your fighter’s Super Combo command.

Controls

Use directions to advance, retreat, jump and crouch. Hold away from the opponent for standing guard, or down and away for crouching guard. Punches and kicks each have three buttons: light, medium and heavy. A full SUPER gauge enables the character’s Super Combo. The same Super Combo rules do not apply to old-version fighters and Gouki.

Super Street Fighter II Turbo (Asia 940223 Phoenix Edition) (bootleg) — About this game

Building on Super Street Fighter II, this fighter adjusts the pace and move sets and adds Super Combos. Fight with normal and special attacks to fill the gauge at the bottom of the screen, then use your character’s powerful Super Combo when it is ready. Some grounded attacks beat crouching guard, so watch your opponent’s stance and distance and know when to block standing. Start with one character’s light pokes and anti-air moves, then punish openings after blocking a big attack. Hidden old-version fighters and Gouki use different systems, including their access to Super Combos; do not treat them like the standard roster.
