T.A.N.K (bootleg, 8-way joystick) is an exact registered version in this game family. T.N.K III separates the direction of a tank’s movement from the direction of its turret. The rotary control allows the gun to face a threat while the vehicle moves toward another position. Machine-gun fire and cannon attacks provide two ways to clear the enemy units and defences on the route. Power-ups gathered along the way improve the tank’s chances of reaching its destination. Learning to turn the turret independently is therefore as useful as choosing a gap through the approaching opposition. Version-specific changes to characters, stages, timing, difficulty, balance, graphics or hidden content are not inferred where the registration does not document them.
