Sword in hand, Wonder Boy sets out to defeat the Mecha Dragon that rules Monster Land. Platforming and combat combine with buying and improving equipment, so you must consider where and when to spend your money. Defeat enemies to gather gold, then inspect doors and shops along the route for equipment and items before moving on. Learn your sword’s reach and check where a jump will land to get past the monsters. As you leave town and face varied terrain and bosses, decide whether your current gear is enough or you need further preparation.
