How to Play Pokémon Silver Version
Quick start
Start a new game, set the clock and name your character. Go downstairs and speak to Mom to receive the Pokégear and set the weekday. Visit Professor Elm’s laboratory and choose Chikorita, Cyndaquil or Totodile. Head west along Route 29 to Cherrygrove City, then north toward Mr. Pokémon’s house on Route 30. Deliver his Mystery Egg back to Elm; after the rival encounter and laboratory scene, get the Poké Balls from the aide and begin catching Pokémon.
Controls
D-pad: move and select menu commands. A: talk, inspect, confirm and advance dialogue. B: cancel or close a menu. START: open the main menu to view your party, use the bag or save. SELECT: use a registered item. In battle, select an attack, switch Pokémon or choose an item, then confirm with A.

Your journey begins in New Bark Town, where Professor Elm entrusts you with a first partner Pokémon. Routes, towns and caves connect an adventure built around catching wild Pokémon, training a party and defeating Gym Leaders. Battles use a menu of moves, items, switching and escape, so type matchups and the remaining PP of each move matter more than quick reflexes. The day and night cycle changes parts of the world, and the Pokégear keeps useful information close at hand. Recover at Pokémon Centers and save from the main menu as you work toward the League. Silver shares its main journey with Gold while offering differences in wild Pokémon encounters. After obtaining the Silver Wing, you can seek Lugia within the Whirl Islands as a further exploration goal.
This is Tom_C’s v1.1 fan translation into Simplified Chinese, built around the Korean edition. It translates dialogue and interface text, changes the Pokédex ordering to pinyin and includes fixes for several capture and display bugs. The basic journey through Johto remains intact. The name-entry screen uses a character conversion tool rather than a full Chinese keyboard.
