How to Play Ninku
Quick start
Press START and choose a new game. Move Fusuke across the map and press 2 on a town to enter. In combat, use 1 to punch,2 to kick and hold Back to block. Charge with 1+2 when there is a safe opening.
Controls
Pad: map travel and combat movement; Up jumps, Down crouches. Map 2: enter town. Battle 1: punch,2: kick, hold 1+2: charge. Back: block; Down+Back: low block. Double Forward/Back: dash. Close Forward+1: throw. START: pause/menu.
Ninku — About this game
Ninku for Game Gear mixes a journey across a world map with direct fighting. Move toward the next destination, enter towns for information or paid healing and prepare for encounters on the road. Food restores the injured team as you walk, so damage has a cost beyond the current fight. Battles use punches, kicks and directional movement, with Back used to block instead of a separate defense button. Hold 1+2 to charge the colored special meter, but do so while an opponent is down or distant rather than leaving yourself exposed. Growth improves fighting strength and starting energy. Record the password before a long break and keep enough supplies for the trip between towns. This is a map-based fighting adventure rather than a conventional platform game.
