How to Play Shining Force Gaiden - Final Conflict
Quick start
Press START, choose the new-game entry and enter a name with the D-pad and 2; finish with the on-screen end entry. Prepare supplies before leaving camp. On an ally’s turn, use 1 to inspect the field in tactical view, then move and press 2 for commands. Choose an attack and confirm the target. Keep anyone who must exchange items next to the recipient.
Controls
D-pad: move the active character and choose menu entries. 2: display commands and confirm selections; in tactical view, inspect a selected character. 1: cancel commands or enter tactical view during an ally’s turn. START: begin play, close battle windows and switch status displays. Choose attacks, spells, items and waiting from the command menu.
Shining Force Gaiden - Final Conflict — About this game
Final Conflict follows the aftermath of the first Mega Drive Shining Force, with a new group pursuing Mishaela’s army across Parmecia. Its Game Gear campaign alternates tactical scenarios with camp preparation. When a member’s turn arrives, move into position and choose an attack, spell, item or wait command. Before committing, enter the tactical view to inspect the field and check allies or enemies. Supplies need planning as well: handing an item to another member requires the two to stand next to each other. Between battles, shops let you buy equipment, choose its recipient and repair cracked items. Headquarters provides saving, revival and treatment for conditions such as poison or curses, while eligible members can seek promotion from level ten. Use these stops to restore the force, then return to the field with healing items where they will actually be needed.
