How to Play Yuu Yuu Hakusho 2
Quick start
Press START, choose Tournament or Versus and select a fighter. Set the displayed action patterns with the pad and 2. During the exchange, watch the gauge and press 2 at the chosen timing rather than repeating a movement command.
Controls
Pad: menu, fighter and battle-pattern selection. 2: confirm a choice and stop/commit the timing gauge. 1: cancel/back in selection screens. START: begin/pause. The battle uses selected actions and timing; the pad is not free arena movement.
Yuu Yuu Hakusho 2 — About this game
Yu Yu Hakusho II: Gekitou! Nanakyou no Tatakai for Game Gear focuses on planned exchanges rather than steering a fighter around an arena. Set attack, defense, spirit-energy and special-move patterns, then watch the fighting-spirit gauge and the opponent’s attack point to resolve the clash. A strong choice still needs good timing, so learn a familiar action before changing the whole plan. Seven fighters include Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, younger Toguro, Itsuki and Sensui. Tournament tests the roster in sequence, while versus lets you choose a specific pairing. Watch for awakening conditions that open a powerful cut-in, and balance defense with offense instead of trying to win every exchange with the same move.
