How to Play Gun.Smoke (Chinese translation by Ziria)
Quick start
Press START to begin. Move with the Control Pad and practise B for diagonal-left fire, A for diagonal-right fire, and A+B for straight-ahead shots. Break barrels for supplies while leaving space to dodge approaching enemies. Find or purchase the stage's wanted poster before expecting the boss to appear. SELECT opens and closes the equipment window so you can check your supplies and prepare acquired weapons. Save money for useful equipment rather than buying everything immediately.
Controls
Control Pad: move in four directions. Hold B to fire diagonally left, A to fire diagonally right, or A+B together to fire straight ahead. SELECT: open or close the General Store/equipment window. START: begin or pause the game. On the title screen, SELECT chooses Continue and START confirms it.
Gun.Smoke (Chinese translation by Ziria) — About this game
This version adds Chinese text to the US NES Gun.Smoke through Ziria's fan translation. You guide a lone cowboy through vertically scrolling frontier stages, firing ahead or diagonally while avoiding bullets and ambushes. Shooting barrels uncovers useful supplies, and money earned along the route can be spent on equipment. Progress involves more than surviving to the end of the road: each stage requires a wanted poster before its outlaw boss can be challenged. You can uncover the hidden poster or buy it if you have enough money. Boots improve movement, rifles extend your pistols' reach, and a horse offers extra protection. Managing those advantages and keeping room to dodge are as important as steady shooting.
