EverQuest — About this game

EverQuest, also called Wu Jin De Ren Wu, is Waixing's Chinese-language translation of the Famicom RPG Satomi Hakkenden, not the online PC game. Its quest sends Shino across Japan to recover eight mystical beads and confront the youkai. Towns offer equipment, rest and useful rumours, while castles and caves hold the next clues. Battles use commands for attacks, spells, items and other actions. Some youkai are friendly, making conversation worth considering before attacking. Equipment benefits vary between companions, and level-ups combine a roulette-based HP or MP increase with points you assign to other attributes. The translated release keeps this underlying adventure, with Chinese text rather than an English script.
