How to Play 007: Quantum of Solace
Quick start
Tap START on the title screen, choose left- or right-handed play and begin the MI6 training. Hold the stylus near Bond to walk and farther away to run. Practise the action icon at an indicated object, then hold a focus button and tap the shooting target. At close range, keep the focus button held and make the prompted stylus strokes to learn melee combat.
Controls
DS controls: touch and hold a destination to move; distance from Bond controls walk/run speed. L, R, A, B, X, Y or the D-pad can serve as a focus button. Hold one and tap an enemy to shoot; automatic weapons fire while the stylus stays down. Close to an enemy, hold focus and slide the stylus for punches. Use the upper-left icons for inventory and map; tap the context action icon to interact.
007: Quantum of Solace — About this game
The Nintendo DS version retells material from Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace as a third-person adventure built for a sideways-held system. The stylus guides Bond around environments and handles combat, while physical buttons act as a focus modifier rather than a conventional fire button. That gives exploring and fighting different input rhythms: move with a held touch, then hold a focus button to attack a chosen enemy. A map reveals nearby enemies, and the inventory lets you arrange equipment between encounters. Opening training at MI6 introduces the scheme before the missions develop the film story. Completed levels save progress automatically, encouraging you to finish each assignment carefully.
