How to Play Casino Kid
Quick start
Choose FREE or QUEST with the D-pad or Select, then confirm with A or Start. FREE is the quickest way to learn any of the four casino games. In QUEST, choose START, enter a name, and begin in Las Vegas. Speak to everyone before risking large wagers: some gamblers will refuse a newcomer, while other guests reveal the next useful opponent. After winning, revisit the people in that casino because their dialogue can change, and display and record your password before traveling to another city.
Controls
Use the D-pad to move through a casino and navigate choices; press A to talk, challenge a gambler, or confirm, and B to leave an encounter or cancel. Select opens travel or password options while exploring. When betting, Left/Right selects a chip value, Up adds chips, Down removes them, A confirms, and B resets or cancels where offered. In poker, move Left/Right and press A to mark cards to hold, then press B to draw; A calls and B folds during betting. In roulette, move the cursor with the D-pad, place a wager with A, and press Start after placing up to four wagers.
Casino Kid — About this game
Known in Japan as 100 Man $ Kid: Maboroshi no Teiou Hen, this single-player Famicom game is based on Yuki Ishigaki's gambling manga. Hiroshi Nikaido asks the player to seek out the mysterious Emperor by gathering information and challenging gamblers across Las Vegas, Monaco, New York, and Japan. Unlike the later North American localization, the original includes four playable casino games—draw poker, blackjack, Las Vegas roulette, and slots—plus both a Free mode for immediate practice and a Quest mode with password continuation.
