How to Play 1500 DS Spirits Vol. 5 - Hanafuda
Quick start
Choose a game from the main menu and open its rule or help screen. Start a solo round, inspect the initial layout and make one legal move at a time. Check the result before switching games; each selection has its own winning condition.
Controls
Touch a hand card and the matching table card when there is a legal capture. Follow the draw prompt, inspect captured cards and use the displayed stop/continue choices for the chosen rules. Match month symbols, not just similar colors.

Hanafuda uses twelve flower suits associated with the months. Play a card against a matching month on the table and collect the pair, then follow the draw step to build further combinations. Scoring comes from particular groups rather than simply taking the most cards, so keep track of valuable pictures and the cards already captured. In koi-koi-style play, reaching a scoring combination leads to a decision between taking the result and continuing for more. Continuing gives the opponent another chance as well. Read the selected rule set first and learn the card pictures before trying to play quickly.
