How to Play 720°

Quick start

Press any button to leave the demo, use SELECT to highlight START, then press START. In the Main Park, skate toward an event entrance and spend one of your three tickets. Build enough points from jumps and spins to earn the fourth ticket, complete Downhill, Slalom, Jump and Ramp, and use event cash at the four shops. Watch the time bar: once 'Skate or Die' appears, reach an event quickly before the bees catch you.

Controls

D-Pad skates in eight directions; A jumps while moving, and START pauses. In the Main Park, hold A and press a direction different from your travel direction to spin, then face the original direction before landing. In the Ramp event, B spins in the air; hold A with the appropriate direction at the lip for handstands or slides. On the title screen SELECT switches between START and CONTINUE and START confirms. At map stations or result screens, press any button to return.

720° — About this game

720° sends a lone skateboarder through an isometric city park where free skating links four ticketed competitions: Downhill, Slalom, Jump and Ramp. You begin with cash, three lives and three event tickets, then earn the fourth ticket by scoring tricks around the main park. Event results award points, money and bronze, silver or gold medals; the cash can automatically buy better boards, helmets, shoes and pads when you skate to their shops. Clearing all four events with enough points advances to a harder class, where the qualification target rises. Traffic, hostile pedestrians and the famous approaching bee swarm turn navigation into a race against the time bar, while ramps, curbs and hazards provide room for spins and higher scores.
