How to Play Adian no Tsue

Quick start

At the title, press A to select the main part of the labyrinth, ``Adian's Staff'', and press B to select ``Step Drill''. When playing the main game for the first time, select NEW GAME with SELECT and confirm with A. In the labyrinth, first open the nearby door, approach the numbers and symbols on the wall, and input the answers to the calculation problems in order with A's wand. For normal calculations, hit the K symbol at the end to confirm. Enemies do not have experience points, so it will be easier to progress by defeating only those who block the passage, conserving bells, and prioritizing movement and attack equipment.

Controls

Cross button: Move up/down/left/right in the labyrinth, select menu items. A: Select the main part of the labyrinth based on the title, attack with a staff, hit numbers or symbols, and select the menu. B: Select Step Drill by title. START: Pause/resume play. SELECT: Switch between CONTINUE/NEW GAME by title and open the status/merchant screen while playing. On the merchant screen, press SELECT to call the fairy, and if you have a flute, you can listen to the hint.

Adian no Tsue — About this game

"Stand of Adian" is an educational action game for the Famicom Disk System in which you answer integer calculation problems while exploring a top-down labyrinth. When you open the door, numbers and symbols will appear, and by hitting the correct answers with your wand in order, you will gain experience points and bells and move forward. Experience points do not increase even if you defeat enemies, and the condition for stairs and bosses is to accumulate up to 600 experience points by solving problems on each floor. The bells you collect can be exchanged for equipment useful for movement speed, attack, and defense on the merchant screen. Side A is a 9-story adventure, and Side B is a marathon-style step drill that solves all 39 steps, allowing you to play the same integer learning in different formats.
