How to Play Akira
Quick start
At first, select the start with SELECT and confirm with START. In adventure scenes, change the target even with the same command, and repeat the conversation and investigation until there are no new responses. When you get stuck, look at your friends, your surroundings, and your belongings in that order. In shooting scenes, aim with the cross pad and shoot with A, and when enemy bullets come, press B to avoid them. In battles with F, P, and H, use SELECT to turn around.
Controls
During adventure scenes, use the cross keys to select commands and cursor, press A to confirm or send a message, and press B to cancel. When starting the game, select START/CONTINUE with SELECT and confirm with START. In shooting scenes, use the cross key to move the aim, press A to fire, press B to avoid enemy bullets, and in certain battles press SELECT to turn around. You can display the password by pressing A on the 2P side while the command is displayed.
Akira — About this game
The Famicom version of ``AKIRA'' is a command-select adventure based on Katsuhiro Otomo's animated film that tells the story of Tetsuo and a military research facility from Kaneda's perspective. Choose ``talk'', ``look'', ``listen'', ``investigate'', etc. depending on the situation, and proceed by gathering the necessary information from your friends and background. In some parts, the game switches to a shooting scene where you move the aim and shoot at the enemy, and you need to counterattack while avoiding enemy bullets. You can resume from where you left off by displaying and entering your password.
