How to Play Aliens: Alien 2
Quick start
Immediately after the start, go to the right and shoot the enemies and eggs from a distance with B. If you kill an enemy at close range, you will be exposed to acid, so don't get too close after shooting. Jump with A, and use a somersault that combines A and up for higher places. Collect the boots and weapons you get from the first egg, and avoid the large holes and facehuggers by jumping instead of shooting them. Once you get a grenade, press Up+B to throw it.
Controls
Cross button left and right: Move. Cross button up: Enter the door. Cross button down: Lower yourself. A: Jump. Hold Up + A: Jump high and somersault. Repeat A while entering the direction of travel: Proceed through the narrow passage. B: Shooting with a gun. While acquiring a grenade, press Up + B to throw it. While acquiring power armor, press Up+A+B to use temporary invincibility.
Aliens: Alien 2 — About this game
``Aliens: Alien 2'' is a prototype side-scrolling action game that Square developed for the Famicom Disk System but whose release was canceled. Players control Ripley as she fights off facehuggers and adult aliens as she navigates four levels of terrain, facilities, waterways and lairs. Destroying eggs will reveal health recovery, jump enhancements, weapons, armor, etc., and depending on the equipment you acquire, the way you deal with dangerous footholds and enemies will change. Even if you get close to the acid of a defeated enemy, you will still be damaged, so it is important to keep your distance and shoot and avoid. Find your way through areas lined with doors and fight your way through the battle with the Alien Queen at the end of each level.
