How to Play Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King
Quick start
Begin the story and inspect Assil's room after the introduction. Look at available objects, take useful items and try how they interact with the room to find a way out. Read descriptions before combining items; conversations and scenery often explain what a puzzle needs.
Controls
Tap where you want Assil to walk. Choose the on-screen Walk, View, Take, Talk or Use action to interact with a hotspot. Drag an inventory object toward another object or a scene target to use or combine it. These are the DS touch controls, with inventory on the touch screen.
Ankh: Curse of the Scarab King — About this game
A party in a tomb leaves Assil with a death curse and a problem much bigger than being grounded by his father. This Nintendo DS adventure sends him through a comic version of ancient Egypt, where talking, inspecting and combining ordinary items opens the way forward. The inventory sits above the touch-screen scene, making experiments with objects part of the rhythm of exploration. Later puzzles bring another character into the solution, but the journey starts with a smaller challenge: getting out of Assil's room and setting his search in motion.
