How to Play Ankoku Shinwa: Yamato Takeru Densetsu
Quick start
Select "Start" in the title, and at the first archeology museum, ask about the other person, his father, and the letter in order, then move to Tateshina. When exploring new people or places, try "seeing" and "listening" all the time so you don't miss any knowledge points. In the battle at the end of the chapter, it is safe to avoid the enemy's bullets by moving left and right and hit them with B attacks, without forcing yourself to jump. Be sure to write down the password that is displayed at the end of the chapter.
Controls
Adventure: Select command/target with D-pad, A to confirm/send message, B to cancel. Battle: Move with left and right D-pad, jump with A, attack with B. On the title screen, select an item with Select and confirm with Start. There are 8 chapters in total, and after the game is over, you will restart from the beginning of the chapter.

"Dark Myth: Legend of Yamato Takeru" is an adventure for the Famicom in which the main character, Takeru, pursues his father's death and his own destiny, solving a mystery where Japanese mythology and Indian thought intersect. In the 8 chapters of exploration, select commands such as ``see'', ``listen'', ``move'', ``take'', and ``use'' to collect knowledge points, 8 stigmata, and 3 types of sacred treasures. At the end of the chapter, the game switches to a side-view action battle with a mythical beast, and the knowledge gained through exploration will give you an advantage in battle. You can restart with the password you used when clearing the chapter.
