Appare! Shougi Jiisan - Washi to Shoubu ja — About this game
Appare! Shougi Jiisan - Washi to Shoubu ja combines a playful cast with several ways to study the shogi board. Challenge matches lead from 11-kyu toward first dan, while free matches let you choose an opponent suited to your level. Three hundred mating problems range from three to eleven moves, giving short positions a different rhythm from a complete game. Kakushi Shogi changes the opening by letting you arrange pieces other than pawns. Switch between longer games and focused problems, checking how a move affects the king’s escape squares before committing. Captured pieces remain useful resources for later drops under normal shogi rules.
