How to Play 10-Yard Fight (Japan)
Quick start
- Move the ball carrier into open space.
- Wait for a free teammate before using either once-per-play pass.
- Shake the stick up, down, left and right to escape one defender.
- Avoid being surrounded by two defenders.
- Watch time and distance as you seek ten yards and a touchdown.
Controls
The eight-way stick moves the ball carrier. Two buttons provide lateral and forward passes, each once per play. The forward-pass button also performs the post-touchdown extra-point kick. If one defender grabs you, move the stick up, down, left and right to break free.

This American-football game focuses on offence: guide the ball carrier, find an open lane and decide when to pass. Read teammates and closing defenders rather than rushing straight ahead. A lateral pass and a forward pass are each available once per play. Shake the stick in all four directions to escape one tackler; two defenders are harder to evade. Gain ten yards and score within the time limit to face tougher opponents. The original solo game focuses on attack, unlike later versus and home versions.
