How to Play A. D. 2083
Quick start
- Move clear of an approaching enemy group.
- Fire when the targets enter the active fighting plane.
- Follow the current mission’s progress indicator.
- Attack the radiation tower when Atomic City is reached.
Controls
Eight-way joystick: move the spacecraft. Fire button: shoot. Watch the horizontally scrolling field and enemies approaching from the background.
A. D. 2083 — About this game
A.D. 2083 sends its spacecraft through combat areas with a background that scrolls horizontally in either direction. Enemies can approach from the distance before reaching the plane where they can be shot, creating another cue to watch beyond the nearest target. Three combat phases lead to a confrontation over Atomic City, where a heavily defended radiation tower must be destroyed. The cycle then repeats, asking the player to keep finding useful space as the next group enters the fighting area.
