How to Play Alpha Mission II / ASO II - Last Guardian (NGM-007 ~ NGH-007)

Quick start

Check whether Type A or Type B controls are selected.
Attack airborne and ground targets with the corresponding weapons.
Collect upgrades, gold and available armour energy.
Open the armour menu, select a system and attach it before using its attack.

Controls

Directional control: move and select armour in the menu. C: open or close the menu. Type A: A fires missiles/laser or attaches armour; B uses the armour attack. Type B: A fires the laser or attaches armour; B fires missiles.

Alpha Mission II / ASO II - Last Guardian (NGM-007 ~ NGH-007) — About this game

Alpha Mission II separates attacks on airborne enemies from missiles aimed at ground targets, then adds selectable armour systems. Pickups improve speed, lasers and missiles independently, while gold pays for armour offered after a stage. Using an armour attack spends its energy, so collecting energy matters once the system is attached. Two control types arrange the ordinary weapons differently. Learning the selected type before entering a busy passage helps keep an armour selection separate from an ordinary attack.
