How to Play Ambush
Quick start
- Build speed along the runway without touching its edges.
- Activate Take-Off once the required speed is reached and before the runway ends.
- After launch, use the radar to locate incoming enemies.
- Line targets up with the crosshairs while avoiding asteroids.
Controls
During launch, make gentle left or right corrections and activate Take-Off at sufficient speed. In flight, steer to line enemies up with the crosshairs and use the firing action. The radar indicates incoming threats.
Ambush — About this game
Ambush begins with a take-off that can end the game before the space battle starts. The craft must build enough speed along a runway while staying away from the edges, then the player must activate take-off before reaching its end. Once airborne, the view sits behind the ship as enemies and asteroids approach. A radar in the upper-right corner helps identify incoming threats and line them up with the crosshairs. The opening therefore teaches a different skill from the fight that follows: gentle runway corrections first, then aim and evasion in open space.
