How to Play Arbalester
Quick start
- Move clear of enemy shots and fire in repeated bursts.
- Collect weapon upgrades and support craft.
- Approach ground targets only far enough for the attack to reach.
- Use an available special attack against a dangerous formation or boss.
Controls
Joystick: move. Fire action: use the regular weapon, tapping for repeated bursts. Special action: use an available special attack. Movement toward either side can scroll the playfield farther horizontally.
Arbalester — About this game
Arbalester combines aerial shooting with ground attacks that reach only a limited distance ahead. Getting close enough to attack a ground target can therefore expose the aircraft to more danger. Power-ups improve the main weapon’s rate, strength and coverage, while support craft and special attacks add further help. The playfield scrolls sideways as the plane approaches its edges, providing extra space to avoid fire. Each mission returns the aircraft to a base after the larger encounters have been overcome.
