How to Play Tournament Arkanoid (US, older)

Quick start

Start and turn the paddle control to position the Vaus.
Keep it beneath the returning ball.
Catch falling capsules when you can do so safely.
Use Fire for shooting with Laser or releasing a ball held by Catch.

Controls

Paddle/spinner control: move the Vaus left or right. Fire: the action input used for shooting and ball release. Catch lets you hold and release the energy ball; Laser enables beam firing. The original panel supplies Fire buttons on both sides of the spinner for convenient access.

Tournament Arkanoid (US, older) — About this game

Tournament Arkanoid (US, older) is a ball-and-paddle game in which the Vaus moves across the bottom of the playfield to rebound an energy ball into patterns of bricks. Falling capsules change the task: Slow reduces ball speed, Expand widens the Vaus, Catch holds the ball for a chosen release and Laser adds shooting. Watch the returning ball while deciding which capsules to collect, since a useful upgrade still requires keeping the ball in play.
