How to Play Batman
Quick start
- Move and use Fire against enemies.
- Combine direction and Jump to cross gaps.
- Collect equipment; after obtaining the Batrope, use Up+Fire to shoot it upward.
- Adapt to the Batmobile and Batwing objectives.
Controls
Directional control: move Batman. Fire: use the current attack or collected weapon in the direction he faces. Jump: jump; combine with direction for movement through the air. After collecting the Batrope, Up+Fire shoots it upward. Vehicle sections use aiming and shooting against their targets.
Batman — About this game
Atari’s Batman follows the film’s confrontation with the Joker through Gotham, combining on-foot action with Batmobile and Batwing sections. Collect Batropes, Batarangs and gas grenades to expand your available attacks. Some scenes require reaching a goal, while vehicle sections change the immediate task to shooting enemy cars or catching balloons. Movement, firing and jumping share a compact control scheme, with the Batrope requiring an upward input after it has been collected.
