How to Play Blasto
Quick start
- Move through a clear lane with the directional control.
- Face a mine from a safe distance.
- Use Fire to begin a chain reaction.
- Keep clear of explosions and, in two-player play, the other player’s firing line.
Controls
Use the four directions to move and Fire to shoot. Mines explode and can detonate neighbouring mines, damaging anything within the blast. Destroy obstacles and mines for points before time expires. In two-player play, shooting the other spacecraft also scores.
Blasto — About this game
Blasto sends one or two spacecraft through a field of obstacles and explosive mines under a time limit. Shooting a mine can trigger a chain reaction through neighbouring mines, but being too close to that blast destroys the player as well. In a two-player game the other spacecraft is also a scoring target, so the same maze becomes a contest over firing lines as well as the remaining mines. A large clearing is useful only if there is a safe position from which to start it.
