How to Play Battle Zone (rev 2)
Quick start
- Watch the radar for the next enemy.
- Move the tread controls in opposite directions to turn toward it.
- Align the enemy with the forward sights and fire.
- Move or turn again before its return shot arrives.
Controls
Each vertical lever controls one tank tread. Push both forward to advance and pull both back to reverse. Opposite directions rotate the tank; one lever moving and the other neutral makes a wider turn. Fire shoots along the tank’s facing, with only one shell active at a time.
Battle Zone (rev 2) — About this game
Battlezone limits the tank commander’s forward view while leaving the whole surrounding battlefield open to attack. Radar helps locate an enemy outside the sights, and the two independent tread controls turn the tank toward it. Only one shell can be in flight at a time, making a missed shot leave a brief opening for the opponent. The solid blocks and pyramids offer cover from fire but can also obstruct movement when a fast missile or tank forces a retreat.
