How to Play Boulder Dash (DECO Cassette) (US)
Quick start
- Inspect the rocks above the nearest diamonds.
- Dig a route that leaves room to move aside.
- Collect the required diamonds to open the exit.
- Reach that exit before time runs out.
Controls
Use the joystick to move Rockford and dig through dirt. Moving into a diamond collects it. A boulder with empty space beside it can be pushed horizontally, while removing its support lets it fall. Collect the diamond quota, then enter the opened exit.
Boulder Dash (DECO Cassette) (US) — About this game
Boulder Dash on the DECO Cassette System turns digging into a changing gravity puzzle. Rockford needs enough diamonds to open the cave’s exit, but removing the dirt beneath a boulder also frees it to fall. A rock pushed sideways can open a passage or become a weapon against a creature below. Falling rocks can also transform a butterfly into more diamonds, giving a dangerous part of the layout another use when the initial supply is difficult to reach.
