How to Play Centipede (revision 3)
Quick start
- Move the Bug Blaster with the trackball inside the lower area.
- Use Fire against approaching segments.
- Clear mushrooms where a firing lane will help.
- Move clear of spiders and watch any head that begins descending quickly.
Controls
Use the trackball to move the Bug Blaster around the lower play area. Fire shoots darts upward. Shoot all centipede segments to clear the wave. Destroyed segments leave mushrooms, and a middle hit splits the creature. Avoid every insect; a centipede touching a poisoned mushroom dives toward the player area.
Centipede (revision 3) — About this game
Centipede (revision 3) makes the mushroom field change as enemies are shot. Each destroyed segment becomes another mushroom, and breaking the middle of the creature splits it into independently moving sections. Mushrooms also make the advancing centipede turn and descend, so a useful firing lane changes the route of the next attack. The trackball allows movement throughout the lower area while spiders approach through the same space and scorpions poison mushrooms farther above.
