How to Play シャイアン (version 1.0)
Quick start
- Shoot a hanging picture to choose your destination.
- Locate Buster and prioritise approaching enemies and projectiles.
- Flashing figures are outlaws: shoot all of them in the scene to capture them.
- Avoid chasing distant targets too long; return to threats about to reach Buster.
- In target-shooting scenes, hit every target before time expires to earn the bonus.
Controls
Aim the lightgun at on-screen targets and pull its trigger. The original is single-player with one shooting input, the trigger. No off-screen shot is needed to reload. The emulator supports a mouse or compatible gun device, so check your aim and trigger settings.
シャイアン (version 1.0) — About this game
This Exidy lightgun game asks you to protect Sheriff Buster Badshot. You do not move him directly: shoot enemies, projectiles, animals and falling rocks before they reach him. Shooting hanging pictures selects the next scene, where you must capture every flashing outlaw. After several scenes comes timed target shooting. Hit every target to earn a bonus Buster, equivalent to an extra life. Prioritise threats close to Buster rather than simply moving the sight quickly.
