How to Play Commando (Sega)
Quick start
- Move the tank Left or Right.
- Fire upward at aircraft and parachutists.
- Keep clear of landed soldiers.
- Shoot an available BONUS rock when its approach is safe.
Controls
Move Left or Right and fire upward. A BONUS rock becomes flagged after being shot and cannot be scored again. It provides no protection from incoming fire.
Commando (Sega) — About this game
Sega’s 1983 Commando keeps a small tank at the bottom of the screen while aircraft and parachutists approach from above. Shooting the marked BONUS rocks adds score and leaves a flag on the spent target, but the rocks do not shield the tank. Landed soldiers can sabotage it as well as the airborne threats striking it directly. Learn a clear firing position before moving under another parachutist, then take a bonus target only when its position does not trap the tank against an approaching soldier.
