How to Play Denjin Makai (set 1)

Quick start

Attack repeatedly for the normal combination.
Move into an enemy to begin a grapple.
Hold Attack to block an approaching strike.
Follow the character and partner command tables for power-based techniques.

Controls

Use Attack and Jump. Repeated Attack creates a combination; hold Attack to block. Move into an enemy to grab, then use strikes or a directional throw. Attack picks up nearby objects and weapons. Makai’s Tornado Burster uses Attack+Jump and consumes power; team techniques require the listed partner and energy conditions.

Denjin Makai (set 1) — About this game

Denjin Makai (set 1) separates the fighters’ health from an energy reserve used for special techniques. Basic attacks can become combinations or close grapples, and holding Attack provides a defensive block while directional inputs open character-specific moves. Two players gain coordinated attacks based on the pair and their available power. This adds a reason to manage both players’ reserves while moving through the group fights.
