How to Play Dig Dug II (New Ver.)
Quick start
- Move clear of an approaching enemy.
- Use Pump to inflate it.
- Find a marked fault line around another group.
- Drill the cut only after checking which smaller section will sink.
Controls
Move with the joystick. Pump inflates an enemy and Drill opens the marked fault lines. A completed cut sinks the smaller separated section, including the player if still standing on it.
Dig Dug II (New Ver.) — About this game
Dig Dug II (New Ver.) replaces underground tunnels with an island viewed from above. The pump still inflates enemies until they burst, but a drill now breaks the island along marked fault lines. Closing a cut makes the smaller separated piece fall into the sea, taking its enemies with it. The player is just as vulnerable to a falling section, so a successful large clear needs a safe place to stand before the last fault is opened.
