Quick start
- Tap Fire for ordinary shots.
- Hold it for the concentrated beam and feel the slower movement.
- Clear a nearby target before the chain interval expires.
- Return to a safer firing mode when a quick reposition is needed.
Controls
Tap the firing button for shots and hold it for the concentrated vertical beam. Holding the beam reduces movement speed. Closely timed enemy defeats build the scoring chain; a long gap breaks it.

DonPachi (Japan, ver. 1.01, 95/05/11 Satsuei) gives its fighter a wider shot from repeated firing and a concentrated vertical beam from holding the button. The latter slows movement, making it useful for focused damage but less forgiving when a fast reposition is needed. Destroying enemies close together in time builds the Get Point System’s chain, so the next target becomes part of a scoring route as well as a threat. Five areas lead toward a further loop with denser attacks. Learn a safe shot-and-laser rhythm before trying to keep every chain alive through a crowded pattern.
