How to Play E.D.F.: Earth Defense Force (set 2)
Quick start
- Select Vulcan, Laser, Atomic or Homing before the stage.
- Move the ship and use Fire against approaching targets.
- Collect power-ups to improve the weapon and option arrangements.
- Use Formation to adjust the options during flight.
Controls
Move with the joystick. Fire uses the selected weapon. Formation changes the behaviour or arrangement of the accompanying options. Weapon selection occurs between stages or after losing the ship, rather than freely switching all four weapons during ordinary play.
E.D.F.: Earth Defense Force (set 2) — About this game
E.D.F. Earth Defense Force begins each stage with a choice among Vulcan, Laser, Atomic and Homing weapons. That choice lasts through the stage unless the ship is lost, making the next selection different from a weapon picked up during ordinary flight. Power-ups improve the selected attack and expand the formations available to the accompanying options. A separate formation action changes their behaviour, letting the player adjust the arrangement around the ship without treating it as an unrestricted weapon switch.
