How to Play The Empire Strikes Back
Quick start
- Aim with the flight yoke and fire at probe droids or their transmissions.
- In the walker phase, target red cockpits or use a tow cable on an AT-AT’s legs.
- Fight through the TIE attackers.
- Guide the escape through the asteroid field.
Controls
Flight yoke: guide the view and aim. Fire controls: shoot the guns. Fire/Tow Cable action: use a tow cable in the walker sequence; the stock is limited, so aim at an AT-AT’s legs.
The Empire Strikes Back — About this game
The Empire Strikes Back moves from the snowspeeder battles on Hoth to an escape in the Millennium Falcon. Probe droids and their transmissions form the first challenge, followed by walkers advancing on the shield generator. Limited tow cables can destroy an AT-AT when aimed at its legs, while ordinary fire targets the walkers’ red cockpits. The escape then passes TIE fighters and an asteroid field. Completing the four sections returns to Hoth at a higher difficulty, making survival through the changing encounters the continuing mission.
