How to Play ESP Ra.De. (Japan, 1998 4/21 Master Ver.)
Quick start
- Choose an ESPer and learn the movement speed while firing.
- Use ordinary shots to clear approaching enemies.
- Time the piercing attack around its recovery gauge.
- Hold the defensive field when threatened, then release it for the blast.
Controls
Hold the shot action to fire while moving more slowly. The piercing attack uses its own recovering gauge. Hold the field action for protection and bullet conversion; release it to unleash the psychic blast. Watch the power gauge while using that protection.
ESP Ra.De. (Japan, 1998 4/21 Master Ver.) — About this game
ESP Ra.De. puts a human psychic, rather than a spacecraft, among the bullet patterns above Tokyo. Three selectable ESPers confront Lady Garra’s organization across five stages. Ordinary fire is complemented by a piercing attack with a gauge that must recover after use, making it useful to alternate sustained damage with carefully timed bursts. A separate power gauge supports a defensive field: holding the field protects the character and changes incoming bullets into items, while releasing it unleashes a psychic blast. That protection is a resource to manage, not a permanent safe state. Learn the slower movement while firing before trying to combine piercing attacks and item collection for higher scores.
