How to Play Exerion (Taito)
Quick start
- Move the ship and allow for its momentum.
- Hit an enemy with the slow twin shot.
- Use rapid single fire against a crowded formation.
- Return to twin shots to rebuild the ammunition reserve.
Controls
Move with the eight-way joystick. One fire action shoots unlimited slow twin bullets; the other uses limited rapid single shots. Twin-shot hits replenish rapid ammunition. Allow for inertia when reversing direction.
Exerion (Taito) — About this game
Exerion (Taito) gives its ship momentum, so changing direction takes more preparation than an immediate stop and turn. Its slow twin shot has unlimited ammunition, while the rapid single-shot weapon spends a finite reserve. Hitting enemies with the twin shot replenishes that reserve. Alternating the weapons keeps fast fire available for a crowded attack without losing the steady ammunition source.
