How to Play F1 Exhaust Note (Japan, Rev A)
Quick start
- Choose automatic transmission for a first attempt.
- Accelerate along the opening straight.
- Brake before the next corner and steer through it.
- Accelerate out of the bend; in manual mode, use Gear Up/Down as required.
Controls
Steer with the wheel, use Accelerator to gain speed and Brake to slow for a corner. Gear Up and Gear Down change gears in manual transmission; automatic transmission handles the shifts.

F1 Exhaust Note (Japan, Rev A) puts two drivers on the same circuit in a side-by-side Formula One style race. Each cockpit provides its own wheel, accelerator, brake and steering-wheel gear controls. Automatic transmission makes it possible to concentrate on the line through the course, while manual shifting adds gear choice to the approach and exit of a corner. Learning the single circuit makes the next attempt a chance to improve the same braking and overtaking points against the other car.
