How to Play FixEight (USA)
Quick start
- Learn the selected mercenary's standard firing pattern.
- Stand on a change panel to switch weapons.
- Collect P and question-mark icons for upgrades.
- Keep an X bomb ready for a dangerous approach.
Controls
Move in eight directions with the joystick. Hold the Shot button for continuous fire, and press the Bomb button to spend one stocked bomb. Step onto a floor change panel to switch between the weapon that fires in the direction of movement and the weapon that stays aimed toward the top of the screen. A bomb also clears enemy shots.
FixEight (USA) — About this game
FixEight (USA) gives eight mercenaries different weapon sets for their march against the Gozzu. P icons improve the current weapons, standing on a change panel switches the ordinary set, and a question-mark pickup provides the character's special armament. X bombs clear nearby threats and briefly protect the player, while B pickups restore the bomb stock. Unlike Out Zone's steadily falling energy supply, movement is not limited by an energy timer. Learn the selected mercenary's firing pattern at the first panel before choosing a special weapon, then watch both stage edges and obstacles as well as enemy shots.
