How to Play Formation Z
Quick start
- Move the robot across the ground and use Fire.
- Hold Fire to store a stronger shot.
- Hold Jump to rise and transform into the aircraft.
- Return to robot form when low enough over visible ground.
Controls
Use the joystick to move. Fire shoots; hold it to store a stronger penetrating attack. Jump makes the robot leap, and holding it through the high jump transforms into the aircraft. In flight, Jump returns to robot form only when near enough to the ground. Flight consumes fuel.
Formation Z — About this game
Formation Z lets a walking robot become a fighter aircraft to cross terrain it cannot traverse on foot. Flight consumes fuel, making the ground sections useful for conserving the reserve and collecting supplies. The gun can also store power for a stronger penetrating blast, which gives the robot a way to confront heavier targets. Changing form therefore serves the route as much as combat: flying too early can leave too little fuel for the stretch with no ground beneath it.
