How to Play Gigandes

Quick start

Inspect the side where the next weapon would be useful.
Approach its pickup from the corresponding direction.
Test the new firing coverage before the next formation.
Prepare to rebuild after clearing the stage.

Controls

The direction used to approach a pickup determines which edge equips the weapon. Movement also changes available firing directions. No more than two of the same weapon can be carried.

Gigandes — About this game

Gigandes builds its fighter’s weapons around the side used to collect each pickup. Approaching an item from above, below, ahead or behind equips it on a different edge of the Round-37, making position part of assembling the firing pattern. Only two copies of the same weapon can be equipped. The route passes through eight stages and their bosses, with collected weapons surviving a lost life within the stage but resetting after it is completed. Decide where the next weapon belongs before touching it, then leave room to use its new firing direction.
