Quick start

Choose a warrior and test the weapon’s reach.
Use a jumping attack against an approaching group.
Strike a blue thief and collect potions.
Knock an enemy from a mount and climb aboard.

Controls

Move with the joystick and use Attack, Jump and Magic. Repeated attacks form combinations; movement and jumping change their approach. Collect potions from blue thieves to strengthen the next magic cast. Knock a rider off a beast to take its place.

Golden Axe gives its three warriors different weapon ranges and elemental magic during the fight against Death Adder. Blue thieves drop the potions that strengthen a cast, while green thieves provide food. Knocking a rider from a beast lets a warrior take that mount and use its tail or fire attack. Positioning, jumping strikes and running charges manage the groups approaching from both sides.
