How to Play Gumbo

Quick start

  1. Inspect the colours in the falling blocks.
  2. Position them near an existing match.
  3. Complete a row, column or diagonal group.
  4. Keep the stack from reaching the top.

Controls

Use the directional controls to position and lower the falling blocks. Use the action inputs to rotate or place them; their physical assignment is not inferred from generic labels.

Gumbo — About this game

Match falling blocks along rows, columns and diagonals. Remove groups of identical pieces before the accumulating stack overwhelms the board. The immediate objective is to read the current playfield, use the available movement and action inputs deliberately, and preserve enough space or safety to complete the stage before the next hazard or piece arrives.
