How to Play Gunbird (Japan)
Quick start
- Choose one of five characters and try movement and ordinary fire.
- From a safe position, hold Shot and release it to test the charge.
- Reposition before enemy attacks arrive and alternate normal and charged shots.
- Use bombs in danger and learn your character’s attack coverage.
Controls
Move with an eight-direction joystick. Shot fires and Bomb uses the special bomb attack. Hold Shot for a while, then release it for a charged shot. Charge attacks and bombs vary by character, so check their direction and range, and how exposed you are when activating them.

Five distinctive characters take to the air in a vertical shooter about a wish-granting magic mirror. Marion rides a magic broom, Yuan Nang a cloud, Valnus is a robot, and Ash and Tetsu use machines. Their normal fire, powerful special attacks and bombs differ. Hold Shot, then release it for a charged attack, choosing when to fire as you move through gaps in enemy bullets. Keep enough distance while charging. Start with one character, learn the controls and find useful moments for charged attacks and bombs.
