Gyrodine (Taito Corporation license) takes a helicopter through a continuing vertical battlefield with targets above and below. Enemy helicopters and fighters share the approach with bunkers and tanks, requiring attention to both aerial and ground attacks. Water, desert and military-camp terrain change the surroundings as the flight continues. The challenge comes from maintaining that attack while keeping the helicopter out of the incoming traffic and fire.
