How to Play Head On (bootleg, alt maze)

Quick start

  1. Check which way your car and the red car are travelling.
  2. Start at low speed and use the lane-change zones at the top, bottom and sides to move into an adjacent lane.
  3. Try accelerating when you have plenty of space from the red car.
  4. Find the lanes with dots left and collect them all without crashing.

Controls

The car keeps moving automatically. In the top and bottom lane-change zones, move the joystick up or down to change lanes. In the left and right zones, move it left or right. Hold the accelerator for high speed and release it for low speed. At high speed you can cross fewer lanes in one move, so slow down before changing your route when needed.

Head On (bootleg, alt maze) — About this game

Drive around a five-lane circuit and clear every dot. A red car travels in the opposite direction and moves into your lane, so use the lane-change zones at the top, bottom and sides to avoid a crash. Holding the accelerator makes you faster but limits how many lanes you can cross in one move. Slow down to work between the inner and outer lanes and reach the remaining dots. Later stages add more cars to obstruct you, and the pursuit becomes harder as the dots run out. Watch the uncollected dots and the other cars’ paths, then choose your escape route early.
